![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jace responds with a little post-it style note saying he's got something to do first, but he'll be back to look over the 'notes,' by which is meant this book. Definitely a strong start.Īfter the table of contents, we get into a note from a Deputy Lavinia to Jace Beleren regarding the "Living Guildpact." Lavinia notes that Jace is now the Guildpact (some agreement between guilds, if I have to guess) and that he should get to know all of the ten guilds intimately, including not disappearing so often. It actually feels like something out of Eberron, but more tech-y than magic. All in front of a super overcast cityscape backdrop. ![]() Kickass lady with electrical tech-gear, lightning coursing around her, and a dragon in the background. On the cover is some really killer artwork. Ordinarily with D&D books, I kind of jump all over the place according to what catches my interest, but for this I'll stick to reading in order so I don't skip anything. I can't promise super frequent updates to this thread, particularly with work going super crazy for the holidays and a lack of free time, but after the holidays it should pick up a bit. But it's 5E, it was cheap, and it's a new setting. It just didn't really interest me at all. I've never been a Magic player, never looked into the lore, and honestly, when GMGtR was announced, I had zero enthusiasm for it. I know pretty much nothing about Ravnica so far other than that there are guilds and it's a bigass city. Having picked up Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica on a whim, mostly because Amazon had it on sale for twenty bucks, I realized that a Let's Read threat is probably the only way I'll read it anytime soon, what with already running games in other settings. ![]()
